Sledge Hockey Experience/All Sports All People
2019 Sled Donations
Toronto, ON - On May 25th, 2019 the Sledge Hockey Experience in partnership with All Sports All People (ASAP) is proud to bring the sledge hockey community together for the second season in a row to announce the donation of sports equipment supporting 20 children with disabilities with what they need to participate in the sport of sledge hockey.
Kevin Rempel, a retired Paralympic Bronze medalist from Sledge Team Canada, helped lead the initiative with support from Wade Beebe of ASAP. Their vision is to help eliminate barriers for families who cannot afford to purchase the sledge hockey equipment and protective gear on their own, providing custom fitting sleds made for each player’s specific disability.
Laurie Howlett of Unique Inventions Inc., the worlds largest supplier of sledge hockey equipment, will be in attendance to help answer questions and provide support.
Additionally, donors and representatives will be on site to participate in a sledge hockey game with the recipients following a short media discussion.
